Some workplaces permit music listening, while others do not. In my opinion, employers should allow workers to listen to music while
working because it can improve productivity, motivate employees and reduce work-related stress.
To start with, listening to music at work can lead to greater productivity. Music helps you to concentrate on what you’re doing by
blocking out other distracting sounds in the environment. In addition, music make people feel more satisfied and less burnout when
working on difficult tasks, thus achieve better results. According to a survey, 71% of staff who are allowed to listen to music at work
reported being more productive.
Secondly, employees may feel more motivated when music is played at work. One way that music motivates workers is by increasing
dopamine levels in the brain. Dopamine is aø brgin chemical that makes you feel motivated, attentive, and focused. Listening to music
that employees enjoy can lead to an increase in dopamine levels, creating a sense of pleasure and motivation. As a result, when employees have exciting music to listen to in their workspace, they tend to become more excited about coming to the office and getting their jobs done.
Finally, allowing employees to listen to music can help them reduce stress. Music can influence the emotions we ƒeel, and this makes it a
useful stress reliever. Studies have shown listening to soothing and gentle music at work can reduce your pulse rate, lower your blood
pressure and decrease your level of stress, contributing to a more relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. Upbeat music with a fast pace
can trigger shareware, open your Airways and prepare your muscles for movement, providing a rhythm for working.
To sum up, I believe that permitting employees to listen to music at work is a good idea since it makes them more productive, more
motivated and less stressful. Employers should consider music as ø tool to improve performance and satisfaction in the workplace.
